about us
The Galos Piano Trio is a unique group
bonded through music-making and friendship that spans three decades Felicity Broome-Skelton, Heidi Parsons and James Longford's engaging performances have taken them around the world, from Russia to West Africa, the Caribbean to the Arctic Circle, and throughout the UK and Europe. Highlights include acclaimed performances at the St. Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Festival, St. David's Cathedral, the London Piano Trio Festival and at the bicentenary celebrations of William Sterndale Bennett at Conway Hall. They have featured on BBC Radio 3's In Tune and have inspired many young composers and players with workshops as Ensemble in Residence for Young Music Makers of Dyfed. They are passionate about the piano trio genre, keeping great British music alive and exploring music by women composers. They champion the works of Cecil Armstrong-Gibbs, Mel Bonis, Frank Bridge, Luise LeBeau, Clara Schumann, Charles Stanford, and Ethel Smyth, and have recently made the première recording of Agnes Zimmermann's Suite for Piano Trio with the generous support of the Ambache Trust. |
